Acolad Inc. is seeking India Based Transcriptionists with US Legal experience to work on a Transcription team serving US based legal clients. The position requires availability to work at 9am to 6pm US Eastern Time Zone shift.

Requisitos:

Main Purpose

Acolad transcriptionists plays a crucial role in converting voice-recorded legal proceedings reports into written text, ensuring that these documents are accurate, detailed, and compliant with the required standards.

Transcribe Audio Recordings: Convert voice recordings of legal practitioners (e.g., clerks, judges, lawyers, witnesses) into written reports, correspondence, and other administrative material.

Edit and Proofread: Review and edit transcriptions for accuracy, grammar, clarity, and consistency, ensuring that appropriate terminology is used.

Must be aware of the New York Court System, US legal content.

Main Responsibilities

Accuracy and Attention to Detail:

·       Verify Information: Ensure the accuracy of information, such as names, record numbers, and other pertinent details.

·       Identify Errors: Detect and correct any inaccuracies or inconsistencies in the transcribed documents.

Knowledge and Use of Legal Terminology:

·       Legal Vocabulary: Utilize a strong understanding of legal terminology and court proceedings.

·       Abbreviations and Jargon: Correctly interpret and expand medical abbreviations and jargon as needed.

Formatting and Documentation:

·       Document Formatting: Format transcribed documents according to specific guidelines or templates provided by the legal client.

Standardized Reports: Ensure all transcriptions adhere to the standardized reporting formats required by the client.

Compliance and Confidentiality:

·       Ethical Standards: Maintain ethical standards and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential legal information.

Editing and Use of Technology:

·       Speech Recognition Software: Use and edit text produced by speech recognition software, making necessary corrections for errors in transcription.

Communication:

·       Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure accurate and timely documentation.

Requirements

3.1.      Educational Background

·       Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

 

3.2.      Professional Experience

·       Should be trained, preferably certified with a minimum experience of 2 years as a Legal Transcriptionist/ Editor.

·       Any additional experience in other areas (e.g. Medical) would be helpful.

·       Strong spoken and written English skills.

·       Must be able to coordinate with managers and team.

·       Must have excellent time management skills.

·       Must be ready to work in a US Eastern Time Zone environment with majority of time working in evening/night shifts.

·       Experience and knowledge of transcription platforms.
