We are currently looking for a Transcription Assigner. The role can be based in the UK or Ireland, and can be either full-time or part-time.

The Role of Transcription Assigner is central to the Production Department’s function, and it is vital that this function runs efficiently and smoothly, and keeps pace with the rapid and often urgent demands of our clients.

Overall Responsibilities:

To Manage a defined list of transcription jobs that have been sold by the sales teams to clients, and that now need to be assigned to individual transcribers/writers for the transcriptions to be completed by agreed deadlines.

Main tasks:

  • Assess all jobs to be produced, by logging into our internal system, and examining the list of jobs for which you are the designated assigner. Jobs in your list will consist of English-content transcription jobs that will have been sold to clients of our French or UK offices.
  • Be aware of your writers’ availability. Many will fill in their availability on the staff extranet – which results in you being able to see this on your “Assigning Interface” screen on our system.
  • Using the assigning interface, assign each job in a timely manner, in order to meet the agreed deadline with the client.
  • Enter the writer’s deadline, and fill in all vital and useful information on the assignment record on the system, and send the assignment email to the writer.
  • Liaise with sales teams from other offices. Deal with enquiries from sales reps regarding available capacity, costs etc.
  • Keep in touch with your writers, be aware of their availability – especially of those that do not regularly update their availability on the extranet.
  • Assist with the recruitment of new writers for the services for which you are responsible.
  • Keep yourself aware of the progress of each of your writers.
Krav:
  • Good knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel PowerPoint), OneDrive, Adobe Reader, Express Scribe, VIQ Player, FTR, and other transcription related software programmes. You will receive training in the specialised transcription software listed.
  • Great communication skills using phone, email or applications such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to remain calm, polite and professional in any situation.
Förmåner:

  • 🔀 Flexible Workplace
  • 🌎 International environment with multicultural teams
  • 💼 Professional development and growth opportunities
  • 24 days’ holiday per annum (2 days per month pro-rated), in addition to bank holidays
